Applying to Magnet
2017-2018 School Year Late Applications:
After the initial application window for magnet schools closed, you can still apply for a magnet school for the 2017-2018 School Year by submitting a "Late" application on line.
On-line process will open on Dec 1, 2015, by going to echoices.lausd.net. You will need to have an e-mail address.
2017-2018 School Year Applications:
On-Line Applications for 2017-2018 School Year will begin October 4, 2016 - November 10, 2016 by going to echoices.lausd.net. You will need to have an e-mail address.

Students, who applied to Mulholland’s Police Academy prior to the November 2016 deadline, will be receiving a notification letter and/or e-mail by mid-March, if they have a space reserved in the magnet for the 2017-2018 school year.
Acceptance must be done by the student’s parent or guardian, through the Magnet Portal at echoices.lausd.net or by calling the Police Academy Magnet Office, at 818-609-2584 no later that 5 April 2017. Please include:
- Student name
- If you are accepting or declining & to which magnet, Police Academy or Robotics
- Name of parent/guardian and relationship (mother/father/guardian) to student
- Active phone number where Magnet Office can reach parent/guardian.
- Appointment time for Enrollment Orientation (see below) for either 9:00 am or 10:30 am.
If you do not accept by 7 April 2017, the student will automatically be dropped from the magnet list by Student Integration Service Office.
For all ACCEPTING families:
Mandatory Enrollment Orientation for Mulholland Middle School Police Academy Magnet will be on Sat 13 May 2017 from 9:00 am-1:00 pm. Please have copies of all forms on link below completed and ready to be turned in (link will not be active until Friday 24 March 2017):
CAMP MJPA, an intensive orientation for Parent & Cadet will take place from 8:30 am - 1:30 pm, on Saturday August 12, 2015.
Cadets will be working with L.A.P.D. Officers. Cadets need to come dressed in P.E. gear (t-shirt, shorts, & athletic shoes) on both days. Parents need to be prepared to go back to school for the day.
